What we publish
We publish a small number of explainers each day about news that matters to beginner investors: markets, interest rates, personal finance, crypto and the economy. We prefer fewer, clearer articles over a high volume of headlines.
Sources
Our articles start from reporting by established financial publications. We do not republish their articles. We write an original explanation of the news and always name and link the original source at the end of each article, so readers can go to the full report.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help write our explainers, following detailed guidelines written by Bernardo Viana: explain every technical term, keep paragraphs short, never invent facts, and never tell readers what to buy or sell. Before an article is published it is checked automatically against the source text; drafts with figures that do not appear in the source, or wording too close to the original, are rejected.
Images
We do not use photos from news agencies. Cover images are our own illustrations.
Not financial advice
Everything on Newbies Investing is educational. Our "next steps" suggest ways to learn more or think about your own situation; they are never recommendations to buy or sell a specific investment.
